A Little Girl’s Love for Baxter

Jamie and her classmatesWe are so blessed to have incredible supporters at Baxter! Jamie Albert is one of our wonderful supporters from Huntsville, Texas! One important thing to note about Jamie is that she is only 10 years old! She has been making trips to Baxter for the last two years, and she is constantly looking for ways to give and support our students and their children. Jamie has started a club at her church called “Who Knew You Could Do ________ For Jesus” that sells cookies and lemonade to raise money to provide school supplies for the children at Baxter. They even help sew the backpacks for the school supplies! Jamie loves telling her friends and family about Baxter. She has done reports for Bible classes, churches, and even her classmates at school. She and her friends have written letters to our children at Baxter. Jamie is currently collecting clothes and other items to bring to our Baxter students in December.

In her letter to President Teel, Jamie describes how she feels about Baxter and the families she has met, “I love spreading the word of God to the world. I feel like there is another side of me that has a home in Honduras. Some days I wish it were closer. Even though they do not speak the same language as me, (I am trying) but I can still speak in different ways. They are a part of my family.”

A sweet 10-year-old girl and her friends are making a huge impact by supporting the work at Baxter! We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of Jamie and her family in December for Baxter’s graduation! We are so thankful for Jamie and how she is using her gifts to support Baxter! Jamie has fallen in love with Baxter and our families here. We know that if you come to visit, the same thing will happen to you! If you are interested in finding a way to support Baxter, we would love to have your help! There are so many ways you can support the work that Baxter is doing for the Kingdom in Central and South America! If you would like to find out more about how you can help support the work that is being done at Baxter, please contact us!
